"A small book of selfies 'taken' from the public Instagram accounts of Israeli servicemen and women serving in the West Bank and East Jerusalem. All images were 'geotagged' at locations inside the West Bank such as settlements, Israeli bases and Palestinian towns and villages. Passing through military checkpoints or in the field, I noticed how much time soldiers spent idling on their phones. On morning, I caught a young female Israeli singing along to hit song in Hebrew inside one of the bullet proof ID booths at a checkpoint. Their phones proved to be the bridges between their lives as 'regular' 18 year olds and active service soldiers."
