A nun cries from the effects of tear gas deployed by Israeli border guards.
In north Bethlehem, the Separation Barrier sticks into the city like a finger. The barrier winds its way down Hebron Road from Checkpoint 300 to include the site of the tomb of Rachel, the biblical matriarch. She is an important figure in all Abrahamic religions - Judaism, Christianity and Islam. Strangely, it often comes as a surprise to people that a significant amount of Palestinian population of Bethlehem, Beit Jala and Beit Sahour are practicing Christians.
